Each November, during National Philanthropy Month, we all try to stop, recognize and celebrate the incredible good works done by countless individuals for charitable causes. Those volunteers and the missions they serve inspire us all to be better people and do more for our own communities.
After all, “from what we get, we can make a living,” Arthur Ashe said. “What we give, however, makes a life.”
So let’s band together and, in honor of National Philanthropy Month, give a little more.
For every new reservation booked now through the end of the year, and completed November through December, Warner Hall will donate $50 in your name to one of three local non-profits – Gloucester’s Bread for Life Community Food Pantry, the Gloucester-Mathews Human Society or the Middle Peninsula Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
We want to donate $1,000 to each charity, or $3,000 total. When you break it down, that’s only 60 reservations. With your help, we can do this!
Come as a couple for a little overnight getaway during the busy holiday season. Grab a friend and make it a holiday weekend – like the weekend of Dec. 1 when we’re hosting an afternoon of wreath and Christmas craft making.
Better yet, make a trip to Warner Hall the holiday excursion. Get 10 couples together and make the Inn your own during your stay. Just think, if you had 10 couples together to stay for two nights, combined, you all would be making a $1,000 donation.
Innkeeper’s Tip: Right now, if you’re interested in booking a large portion of the Inn for a big group getaway, some open weekends include Nov. 16-17, Nov. 30 to Dec. 1, Dec. 7-8 and Dec. 21-22.
