The largest room in our romantic Virginia Inn, Austin’s Desire features a spacious sitting area with full size sofa and coffee table, a charming spinet writing desk and a stunning three piece antique armoire. Everyone raves about the bathroom ….marble tile floors and shower, a two-person corner soaking tub, pedestal sink and of course, ten foot ceilings! The four windows in this room offer water and pasture views facing the south, west and north elevations. Virtually all of the 600 acre outline of the original property that “Austin” (nickname of Augustine Warner, who patented the property in 1642) “Desired”, are visible from this perch. Truly incredible…. a view that has remained virtually unchanged in over 350 years. No wonder this room is so popular!
